Please join Capitol Hill Little League (CHLL) and Mamie Johnson Little League (MJLL) on Wednesday, November 8, as we celebrate the end of a great year for Little League baseball and softball in the District of Columbia.
To mark the end of this successful year, the two neighboring Little Leagues are joining together to hold a year-end party, while at the same time raising funds to better support the development of baseball and softball programs on both sides of the Anacostia River for the year ahead.
Special guests at the event will include Mamie “Peanut” Johnson, first ever female pitcher in the Negro Leagues, DC Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Representatives — and noted Congressional baseball team members — Cedric Richmond (D-LA/Pitcher) and Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN/2B). The event is co-chaired by long-time supporters and advocates of Little League, Phyllis Jane Young and John Parker.
When: Wednesday, November 8, 6:30-8:30pm
Where: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough – 101 Constitution Ave NW, Ste 900
