CHLL is pleased to announce skills clinics for both softball and baseball players during the winter. CHLL is hosting softball clinics that are open to everyone over the winter. The clinics will be held on Thursday nights from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm at Nats Academy. They start on January 19th and run through March 16th.
For our baseball players, Win Within is offer a Winter skills clinics. The sessions run from January 8th to March 5th at Georgetown Day School, unless otherwise noted in the schedule below. The clinics are available for players up to 14 years old and cost $280. The U11 sessions are from 2:15 – 3:45 pm and the 12 – 14 year olds sessions are 3:45 – 5:15 pm. MLB is hosting a free PLAY BALL event on Dec 6th at Gallaudet University. This is an exciting opportunity for boys and girls ages 6 to 13 years old to learn baseball skills from the pros and hear from MLB stars past and present.
WHEN: Tuesday, December 6th from 6:30 – 8:30pm (registration starts at 6:30pm)
WHERE: Gallaudet University Field House, 800 Florida Ave, NE, Washington, DC.
WHAT TO BRING: a signed copy of the General Participation Waiver, sneakers (no cleats). Gloves and bats will not be necessary.
This event is being held in conjunction with MLB’s Annual Winter Meetings taking place in the DC area. We’ve been advised that multiple big-name players and coaches from MLB will be on hand.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the names of the kids (ages 6-13) from your household planning to attend so we can let MLB know how many Capitol Hill Little Leaguers to expect.
Win Within Baseball is holding tryouts on Thursday, November 17th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Payne Elementary School for a limited number of openings for 11U & 14U players for the Spring 2017 NVTBL Season.
Age is determined as of 04/30/2017.

A very special thank you to outgoing Board Member and League President Don Montuori.
Don has served on the board since the leagues founding in 2011. His dedication, devotion and tireless commitment have allowed the league s to grow from 5 teams and about 50 kids in our first season to over 40 teams and over 600 kids this year. If you think you know how much time and effort Don has given to the league over the last 6 years, you honestly have no idea! Make sure to say thank you the next time you see him around the Hill!
